President Mnangagwa Congradulates VP Chiwenga’s Marriage To Colonel Miniyothabo “Minnie” Baloyi
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has confirmed his deputy, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s marriage to Colonel Miniyathabo “Minnie” Baloyi.
The news of Vice President Chiwenga’s new marriage has been trending across the country. However, until now, the government had not officially confirmed the relationship.
On Wednesday afternoon, President Mnangagwa confirmed his deputy’s marriage to the nation and wished the couple well.
Part of the statement released by Dr Misheck Sibanda, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, reads,
His Excellency the President, Dr E. D. Mnangagwa, wishes to inform the Nation that Honourable Vice President, General (RETD) Dr CDGN Chiwenga, has tied the knot with his partner, Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi.
Col. Baloyi is a serving Officer in the Zimbabwe National Army, ZNA. The President, the First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa (Dr), and the First Family wish the couple a lifelong partnership full of love and affection.
Chiwenga’s marriage to Baloyi is his third having been previously married to Marry Mubaiwa and Jocelyn Mauchaza.
Information gathered by iHarare indicates that the new Second Lady is not only beautiful but intelligent as well.
Chiwenga’s new wife Miniyothabo Baloyi holds a first-class Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chinese Mandarin from PLA University of Foreign Languages.
She also holds a Masters in lnternational relations, International/Global Studies from the University of Zimbabwe.
In addition, Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi is a Doctor and holds a PhD in Business Leadership, Business Administration and Management from Midlands State University.
Baloyi is multilingual and is said to be fluent in six languages including Mandarin, French and Zulu.
