1. Family Background
Engineer Collins Takunda Mnangagwa is the twin son of Dr. Emmerson
Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the current President of Zimbabwe and Dr. Auxillia
Mnangagwa current First Lady of Zimbabwe. He has two siblings namely
Emmerson Jnr and Sean Mnangagwa is twin brother.
Growing up in business oriented family and participating in the family business
units, has given Engineer Collins unique insights in establishing robust business
enterprises.
2. Educational Qualifications
Engineer Collins holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and its Automation
from the University of North China Electric Power University (NCEPU). He is an
accredited member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers. Collins is a linguist
of par excellence speaking two international languages which has greatly
influenced his ability to establish lucrative Joint Venture Enterprises with
Foreign Investment in particular, Chinese investment.
3. Entrepreneurial Endeavors
He is an entrepreneur who has ventured into various businesses, focusing on
sectors such as mining, agriculture, education& ICT, infrastructure, health, real
estate, energy and logistics.
His entrepreneurial spirit and experience reflects is unwavering commitment
towards growing the economy of Zimbabwe and complimenting Government’s
efforts in attaining vision 2030. Engineer Collins Mnangagwa’s business
portfolio has created over 3000 employment opportunities in particular in the
mining sector for local Zimbabweans.
Engineer Mnangagwa sits on over 5 private boards of business units
established under his purview across various economic sectors. He is a cor-
chairperson, executive chairman, director as well as preferential shareholder in
most of the business firms he successfully established in Zimbabwe.
All his business firms adhere to good corporate governance principles and
were fully established in compliance to the dictates of the Laws of Zimbabwe.
4. Advocacy for Youth Empowerment
Engineer Collins works tirelessly to promote socio-economic empowerment of
youths in Zimbabwe. This is evidenced by his continued support for youths
involved in arts and heritage endeavors through providing direct funding for
their projects.
Through is education and ICT business units, Engineer Mnangagwa has
managed to put his footprint in bridging the digital divide which has seen rural
youths being afforded opportunities to access ICT.
5. Philanthropic Efforts
He is known for his philanthropic work, supporting numerous community
projects through his companies Corporate Social Responsibility Programs in
their areas of operation. On a personal level, Engineer Mnangagwa supports
youths from vulnerable backgrounds through funding their education.
6. Vision for Zimbabwe’s Future
Engineer Collins .T. Mnangagwa is a patriotic Zimbabwean at heart with
mission to promote the “Zimbabwe is Open for Business” mantra and “Nyika
inovakwa nevene vayo” principle. He has gone all out in attracting foreign
direct investment for Zimbabwe through establishing over 3 Joint Venture
mining giants in gold, lithium and coal mining. He has immensely
complimented government efforts to create jobs for local Zimbabweans
through his mining firms which have witnessed over 3000 Zimbabweans being
gainfully employed.
Engineer Mnangagwa desires to see Zimbabwe attaining middle income status
by year 2030 and works tirelessly ensuring that his over 16 business units are
productive generating jobs for Zimabweans, foreign currency for government,
transforming the infrastructure landscape of Zimbabwe and improving the
